The Journey of 2011…
I look Tricor medication all around me and I see the familiar as I sit here back in my home state of Kansas. The trees I grew up around, the streets I lived on, the people who knew me as a child… Nothing has changed, yet everything has changed. It wasn’t many years ago where I was land-locked inside the prison walls of Kansas. My whole life, I was indirectly told that they were inescapable, and any dreams I had to escape where smashed by doubt from strong opinions and influences of others. They were referring to my life upon how the world responded to their lives, or their way of perceiving it. These influences were never seeking to harm me; only to protect me from failing or falling short. But something always nagged at me… something bigger always kept telling me that it was necessary to experience the world on my own; to see the world on the outside of the Kansas state border.
And as a 21-year-old I eventually did. The worlds’ people has a seamlessly easy way of knocking anyone off their tracks. They shrink us, they shrivel us, and they make us dim who we are. The biggest part of my journey is that beyond acting; the part where I searched deep within and liberated myself from the shackles of what others told me I was, was good at, and wasn’t good at.
When I made the decision to become the FULL ME, to embrace all of my colors, and to not live for others, but for my own experience of my adventure here on life, I started living freely, and the world seemed to coincide with that liberty; it seemed to say, “The more you continue embracing your full light and beauty, the more I will continue sharing with you in your experiences.”
This liberation was not easy. And it took a trained mind and a disciplined truth-seeking journey that was life-altering, forevermore. My whole goal as I seek to reach new dreams in 2011 is to help others liberate themselves… well, from themselves… from this false identity that you have limits, that you are a single solitary disconnected entity in this world of complete inter-connectedness… The reason I loved Avatar is it showed me what Earth could be like, if we embraced a knowing deep within that we are more magical than our eyes can see, our noses can smell, or our hearts to know… but somewhere deep, deep inside that beautiful soul of yours, breathes this truth that you are more powerful than you have become.
In three years, I became a boy from Kansas to a professional actor starring in the title role of my own film, shot with talented people, and airing on a major network (yes, I know for a fact, but I cannot share which network that is). To sum up the past three years in one sentence like I just did above does not give justice to the ups and downs I have experienced in the past three years, nor will it justify the waves I will possibly experience in 2011.
And I believe it was I, Cody, who created those waves. That is part of my experience. When the self-doubt and the false sense of who I really am is in place, the world responds accordingly to my lacking beliefs. And, contrary to popular belief, when you embrace who you are, you become it. You become who you contemplate that you are. Habitually contemplate. And for the longest time I habitually contemplated who I was based upon my past: my lack of money growing up, my lack of any artistic talent, my lack of coordination in sports, lack of self-confidence… I stopped identifying with anything in my past that didn’t serve my greatest good. And from there I started to contemplate every single belief in my life, even if they were factual and asking myself, “Does this serve my greatest good?” An example, one belief I had was, “I’m never going to be able to afford rent comfortably here,” and asked myself, “Am I really 100% certain that this is true?” From there I created a new belief, and from that perspective, attracted to my experience now living rent-free in a studio pool house. Did I ever think that was possible? Well, it depends when you asked me… 
Even stone-cold truths aren’t necessarily truths. You noticed Compazine for nausea I was keen on sharing how it is others that make you dim your light. Take notice that I never said that it is the world that dims your light. The world works effortlessly for anyone. It shares no favorites. I have to mention Avatar again.. The reason I was such a big fan of it is because it showed the interconnectedness of our universe in the eyes of one man: James Cameron. Without ever meeting the man, I know we share the same viewpoints of how our world serves us, that we are creators of it. And nothing can take away that power when you truly embrace it…
When I Citalopram hbr first started contemplating making films in Hollywood, I felt like I was only dreaming. I didn’t think I could or that it was really going to happen. But one thing that I never doubted, no matter how much I doubted myself, was what the world could bring it to me, if I just believed and went for it. Starring in my own film was impossible. Before doing that, I remember writing blogs back on MySpace about how impossible it was at one time in my life to become my high school’s Valedictorian. I never saw myself as smart, but once I did, I became smart. That is the truth. I started identifying with the innate skills within myself to become my expectation, and what I contemplated; that rush of giving my Valedictory speech in front of the whole town in our high school gymnasium. And from the time I was a teenager hauling hay in Kansas, and looking up at the sky, I saw myself becoming something greater than I could imagine, and I sought to leave the Walls of Kansas and trek down the Yellow Brick Road. And I finally stumbled upon Hollywood and the City of Angels, and it was here that I declared I would spend my desire to accomplish great feats and become one of the greatest actors of my generation, or possibly all-time.
My story is very summed up, yet my point is this… Do not let this year of 2011 be a year that makes you stumble further away from who you really are. Let this year of 2011 be the year that you liberate yourself you do not allow others to dictate your existence, to dictate your life… Let this year be the year you weed away those who keep you locked in your past or locked from your light (everything you are that is screaming to be unleashed, that would bring joy to your heart – your sense of humor, your quirky behavior, your hidden passions) even if that means letting go of your biological family, if they are shackling you in a prison.
As I shared, I never doubted the world, but have continuously doubted myself… but as I have evolved into more of my own inner beliefs, I adopted the truth within my being that the universe and I are not separate; we are one in the same. And when I dissolved that separateness, it made me embrace the truth that I never need doubt myself. I have inherent within me the same powers that holds our world in orbit and keeps everything in such a delicate and intricate balance. The world truly is perfect, and as I embrace into that perspective of a perfect planet, I become that perfect planet, and I radiate its message through my every thought; my every vibration.
This is how I have come to know the world and what has served me. My desire for you is to go on your own quest to find what resonates with you as a person. Take this year of 2011 to put yourself FIRST – let go of that belief that you picked up from somewhere that you are selfish in doing so, and adopt a new belief that the more you are in check with who you are, the more you will naturally bring out the light within others. That does not mean others will not try to dim it, but your higher perspective truly wipes away the pain that the good opinions of others once caused you. You come from a different place, and because of it, words don’t bother you, because you realize the only opinion that matters is the wonderful opinion of yourself. When that opinion is that you are a Divine being, not separate from God, you are in your light. And when you feel separate, alone, or disconnected, you are part of the world. Become part of God (your light, Spirit, whatever resonates with you in calling this Higher Power, even if that is Self) and live in that power, and I promise you, your life will change forever. This is not a one-time thing; it is a constant contemplation of self, always and forever; it is an always-focused battle, focusing on your greatness, simply because everywhere we turn, from news, to friends, to family, we have another dimming our light. And the only way you can stay in that light is by your thoughts of who you are and through your imagination; the single-strongest creative tool you possess.
My journey this year remains the same; to seek out my craft as an actor and be on point to win my Academy Award for Best Actor by age 29 to embrace the title of Youngest Academy Award Winner for Best Actor.
Take your journey this year; embrace your greatness, and I will see you at the top.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
